Scorecard
Description:
A short, but deceivingly narrow par 4, #7 is a good risk/reward hole. Out of bounds looms along the length of the hole on the left, while thick trees and brush cover the right side. The fairway begins to slope downward and slightly right after 150 yard marker, but the hole itself directs most shots toward the left. The green is guarded with bunkers on the left, along with thick vegetation long and right. The green slopes distinctly from back to front. The green is a touch firmer than most on the course.
How to Play It:
Challenge this hole with a driver and you can have a short pitch to the green. However, the out of bounds down the left side and trees/brush on the right make the best play a lay up to the 150 yard marker atop the slight hill. The margin of error for a long tee shot is slim. Roll the ball just beyond that mark and you are sure to be met with an uneven lie. Push it just a little right and you may be blocked from a clear view of the green, or forced to attempt a left to right shot off the opposite slope! This green is typically slightly less receptive than most on the course, so err on the side of short. Keeping the hole in front of you enhances your chance at success. A two-putt par is always a good score on this hole, but intelligent and accurate play may be rewarded with birdie.
