Scorecard
Description:
The 4th at FRCC is a short dogleg to the left, with a myriad of options off the tee box. A large slope in the middle of the hole steers you toward the green, but bail out areas reside short and right. A pond resides on the left side of the hole, and should not be brought into play unless you can safely carry a shot over it. The green is another elevated one, but with a much longer run-up area than most. Bunkers surround the green right and left, but there is ample room short of the green, and a little behind it. The sloped green doesn't appear too difficult visually, but is among the most challenging on the entire track.
How to Play It:
A dogleg left over a pond makes the tee shot challenging. There is room to the right and long, but an ideal ball avoid the pond and move right to left. Go too far though and you may find thick grass and a single tree obstructing your view of the putting surface. You can hit a shorter shot straight ahead if you want to play safely. Make sure to stay below and in line with the pin on the approach. A three-foot putt from over the flag stick, or just even with it, can quickly turn into a thirty footer coming back.
